  • Domino's Pizza Coming to Tenby - Good or Bad?

Domino's Pizza is coming to Tenby later this year. See report here.

The outlet will open in the newly refurbished shops on South Parade, between the Fire Station and the War Memorial.

This decision appears to have divided opinion. What's your view? Vote and comment below.

I've been coming to Tenby for many years and the poor state of the buildings by the fire station always amazed me. I'm pleased to hear that the area has been successfully regenerated. Our family love Domino's and will certainly be trying one when we're on holiday at Easter, although a Top Joe's pizza will be hard to beat.

Over the last couple of years, there have been some big names shops moving to Tenby, White Stuff, Joules etc. Some of the existing shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants have also upped their game. I think this is great and long may it continue. The addition of Dominos to the choice of take-aways is a continuation of this and I can see nothing to object to (unless of course you own one of the existing pizza businesses).

Assuming the customers and delivery drivers are considerate to the potential parking / access issues and sensitive to the area around the war memorial, I see this as a good thing for Tenby with another well-known brand coming to the town.

In my home town (Stratford on Avon) the planning department are very strict when it comes to laying down rules about how shops develop and occupy the historic buildings, but generally the businesses and their customers are respectful and there are few complaints.
